OUR JOURNEY

Our journey began in 2002 when Edmond Boots founded Boots and Associates Inc. Ed’s exceptional tax preparation skills quickly earned him a contract with one of the nation’s leading tax resolution firms in 2005, where he was responsible for preparing all their clients' unfiled tax returns. This opportunity resulted in year-round tax preparation for clients living all over the world, exposing the team to almost every tax situation imaginable.

In mid-2006, William Fugate joined Boots and Associates as a tax preparer to help manage the increased volume of work. William's expertise and dedication led him to become the office manager, overseeing hiring, training, and quality control.

In 2015, William left to focus on his fully remote tax practice but maintained a strong relationship with Ed. When the pandemic hit and the world transitioned to remote work, Ed began considering retirement in 2022. Recognizing William’s expertise, efficiency, and commitment to the firm’s values, Ed entrusted him with the legacy of Boots and Associates.
